Product Description
The Peacefair PZEM-004T AC Energy Meter Module is a compact and versatile single-phase AC energy monitoring module designed to measure essential electrical parameters such as voltage, current, active power, frequency, power factor, and energy consumption. It is suitable for smart energy monitoring, IoT projects, home automation, industrial applications, and electrical diagnostics.
The module supports an 80–260 V AC voltage range and can measure currents of up to 100 A using the included Current Transformer (CT) coil. The CT sensor provides non-intrusive current measurement by allowing the load wire to pass through the coil, making it convenient for monitoring high-current AC loads.
The PZEM-004T features a TTL serial communication interface, allowing it to communicate with Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, and other compatible microcontrollers. A suitable TTL-to-USB or TTL-to-RS232 converter can also be used for PC-based monitoring and data logging.
The module includes power-down energy data retention and an onboard clear button for resetting the accumulated energy reading. Depending on stock availability, V3 or V4 may be supplied randomly.
We will randomly ship V3 or V4 as per the stock availability.

Working Principle
The PZEM-004T measures AC electrical parameters by monitoring the supply voltage and the current flowing through the connected load. The included CT coil measures current without requiring the full load current to pass directly through the meter module.
The module processes the measured electrical signals and calculates parameters such as active power, frequency, power factor, and accumulated energy consumption. The measured data can then be accessed through the TTL serial interface by a compatible controller.
The accumulated energy value is retained in memory even after a power interruption, while the onboard clear button allows the energy counter to be reset when required.
Interfacing
The PZEM-004T can be integrated with various development platforms through its TTL serial interface.
Compatible systems include:
- Arduino
- ESP32
- ESP8266
- Raspberry Pi with suitable TTL/UART interface
- STM32
- Other microcontrollers
- PC using a TTL-to-USB converter
