Ai-Thinker Rd-61 60GHz FMCW mmWave Radar Sensor Module

he Ai-Thinker Rd-61 is a high-performance, ultra-low-power AiP (Antenna in Package) radar module operating on the 60GHz FMCW carrier. Developed for advanced AIoT applications, this module integrates a 1T3R radar chip and internal Flash, enabling a complete “plug-and-play” sensing solution once powered. It is designed to meet stringent power requirements through four management modes: power off, standby, idle, and working.

Precision Sensing & Wide Coverage The Rd-61 utilizes a continuous sweep bandwidth of 6GHz (58G~64GHz) to achieve high-precision detection of both human movement and micro-motion (breathing/heartbeat). With a massive 120° Horizontal and Vertical Field of View (FOV), it provides broad spatial coverage, detecting targets from as close as 0.01 meters up to a maximum range of 8 meters.

Advanced Hardware Architecture The module is powered by a 32-bit RISC-V CPU (up to 128MHz) and a dedicated Hardware Accelerator (HWA) optimized for radar signal processing tasks like FFT and CFAR. This architecture ensures rapid processing for real-time target perception and location without overwhelming external controllers.
