Working Principle
The ZMPT101B voltage transformer senses the AC input voltage and provides an isolated, reduced AC signal. The onboard amplifier circuit conditions and compensates the signal before providing it at the OUT terminal.
The resulting output is a sine wave with a DC offset around the waveform’s midpoint, allowing it to be measured by an ADC or analog input of a suitable microcontroller.
The onboard potentiometer can be adjusted to change the amplitude of the output waveform without significantly changing its midpoint value.
Output Signal Adjustment
The output waveform amplitude can be adjusted using the onboard potentiometer. During adjustment, if waveform distortion occurs, increasing the module’s supply voltage within its specified 5–30 V DC range may help improve the signal.
If the output waveform’s midpoint shifts toward 0 V and removal of the DC component is required, an appropriate coupling capacitor/filtering arrangement can be considered according to the measurement circuit.
