The Ai-Thinker Rd-04 is a compact, cost-effective motion sensing solution based on X-Band Radar Technology. Powered by the Phosense XBR818 chip, this module operates at a center frequency of 10.525GHz.
Precision Without Wall Penetration
Unlike high-power radar modules that can detect movement through thin walls (causing false alarms), the Rd-04 is designed with non-wall-penetrating capability. This makes it the perfect choice for room-specific applications like bathroom lights, bedroom AC control, or office security, ensuring it only reacts to movement inside the target room.
Ultra-Low Power for Battery Devices
Designed for energy efficiency, the Rd-04 consumes power in the microampere range (down to 110μA in pulse mode). This makes it ideal for battery-operated smart locks, video doorbells, and portable security gadgets.
Robust & Reliable
The module integrates a fixed-frequency, directional 1T1R (1 Transmit, 1 Receive) antenna. It is unaffected by environmental factors like temperature, humidity, oil fumes, or water mist, making it superior to standard PIR sensors in harsh environments like kitchens or bathrooms.
