SKU: ri-5856 Categories: ,

The 1 Key 1×1 Matrix Membrane Switch Keypad – Yellow is a compact, lightweight, and durable input switch designed for microcontroller, embedded electronics, automation, and DIY projects. It features a single yellow membrane button that can be used for simple control functions such as start, stop, reset, trigger, mode selection, or menu navigation.

The keypad operates as a normally open momentary switch. When the button is pressed, the internal contacts close the circuit and generate an input signal. Once released, the switch automatically returns to its normally open state.

Its slim and flexible construction makes it suitable for mounting on control panels, project enclosures, machines, and electronic prototypes. The self-adhesive backing allows quick installation without requiring additional screws or brackets. A simple 2-pin interface makes the keypad easy to connect to Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, ESP8266, and other development boards.

Working Principle

The two output pins remain electrically open when the button is not pressed. Pressing the yellow membrane key closes the internal contacts, allowing current to pass through the switch. When the button is released, the contacts open again.

The keypad can be connected between a microcontroller input pin and ground. The internal pull-up resistor of the microcontroller may be enabled to obtain a stable digital input.
