TD-8130MG 30KG 180° Digital Metal Gear Servo Motor is a high-torque servo featuring up to 32 kg·cm peak stall torque, 4.8V–8.4V operation, 180° controllable positioning, 5-metal-gear transmission, dual ball bearings, 25T output spline and digital PWM control. Ideal for robotic arms, humanoid robots, RC vehicles and high-load robotic applications.
The TD-8130MG 30KG 180° High Torque Digital Metal Gear Servo Motor is a powerful digital servo designed for robotics, RC vehicles, robotic arms, humanoid robots, automation systems and other applications requiring high torque and accurate angular positioning. The specific version covered here provides an approximately 180° controllable operating angle and works from 4.8V to 8.4V.
The servo can produce a peak stall torque of approximately 29.5 kg·cm at 4.8V and 32 kg·cm at 8.4V, making it suitable for mechanisms requiring substantially more torque than conventional hobby servos. At 8.4V, its no-load operating speed is approximately 0.22 sec/60°.
Its internal transmission uses five metal gears together with dual ball bearings (2BB) for improved mechanical strength, smooth movement and durability. The housing combines engineering-grade PBT plastic with aluminium alloy, while the output shaft uses a common 25T servo spline.

180° Position Control
The TD-8130MG uses standard PWM servo control and provides approximately 180° ±3° of controllable angular movement when operated over the specified 500–2500µs pulse-width range. The neutral position is approximately 1500µs.
Note: This product description is for the 180° controllable version listed on Amazon as model SK4479-180. It should not be confused with continuous-rotation versions of the TD-8130MG available from some sellers.
High Torque Performance
At its maximum rated operating voltage of 8.4V, the servo provides approximately 32 kg·cm peak stall torque with a stall current of approximately 3.4A. Therefore, a dedicated high-current servo power supply or suitable battery/BEC is recommended rather than powering the servo directly from an Arduino or similar development board.
Metal Gear Transmission
The TD-8130MG uses a five-metal-gear transmission supported by two ball bearings. This construction provides greater mechanical strength and improved resistance to gear wear in high-load robotic and RC applications.
25T Servo Spline
The output shaft uses a 25T spline, making the servo compatible with many commonly available 25T servo horns and robotic brackets designed for standard-size high-torque servos. The manufacturer specifies an output spline diameter of approximately 6.0mm.
Applications
- Humanoid robots
- Quadruped and robot dog projects
- Robotic arms and grippers
- RC cars and trucks
- 1/8 and 1/10 scale RC models
- Pan-and-tilt mechanisms
- High-torque robotic joints
- Educational robotics
- DIY automation projects
- Steering mechanisms
- Robot chassis mechanisms
The Amazon listing specifically markets this version for 1/10 and 1/8 RC vehicles and robotic arms.
Package Includes
- 1 × TD-8130MG 30KG 180° Digital Servo Motor
- 1 × 25T Servo Arm/Horn
The Amazon product is advertised with a 25T arm; supplied accessories can vary depending on manufacturing or packaging batch.
Important Power Supply Note
This is a high-current servo. Under heavy load or stall conditions, current consumption can reach approximately 3.4A at 8.4V. Use an appropriately rated external power supply, BEC or battery and ensure that the controller and servo share a common ground when PWM control is used.
Product Disclaimer
Product images are for representation purposes only. Actual product colour, markings, servo horn design, cable length and supplied accessories may vary slightly depending on the manufacturing batch. The manufacturer specifies splash-water resistance; the servo should not be assumed to be suitable for continuous underwater operation or immersion.
