The AS608 Optical Fingerprint Sensor Module is a compact, low-power biometric authentication device designed for precise fingerprint recognition. It integrates image acquisition and fingerprint recognition algorithms into a single, all-in-one unit, making it ideal for embedded applications and IoT security systems.

How It Works:

The AS608 processes fingerprints in two main stages:

1. Fingerprint Registration:
   During registration, the same fingerprint is scanned twice. The module processes and combines both images into a synthesized template and stores it internally.

2. Fingerprint Matching:
   In this stage, a new fingerprint scan is compared to stored data using two modes:

   • 1:1 Matching (Fingerprint Comparison): Compares the scanned fingerprint to a specific stored template.

   • 1:N Matching (Fingerprint Search): Searches the scanned fingerprint across all stored templates.

The module outputs a result indicating a match (pass) or no match (fail), ensuring secure authentication.
