The XH-W3001 AC 220V 1500W Digital Temperature Controller is a compact and easy-to-use microcomputer thermostat switch designed for accurate temperature measurement, display, and automatic heating or cooling control. Design and Construction
The XH-W3001 is housed in a compact ABS flame-retardant enclosure that protects the internal electronic components during normal installation and operation. The front panel includes a digital LED display and two control buttons for configuring the temperature settings.
The included external temperature probe is constructed from stainless steel and is approximately 1 metre long. Its waterproof design makes it suitable for temperature sensing in humid or moisture-prone environments.
The compact controller can be directly installed or embedded into suitable industrial control panels, equipment enclosures, cabinets, and custom temperature-control systems.
Working Principle
The XH-W3001 continuously measures the temperature through its external stainless-steel probe and displays the measured temperature on the LED screen.
The user can set a starting temperature and a stopping temperature using the UP and DOWN buttons. The controller then automatically switches the connected AC load according to the configured temperature limits.
For example, in a heating application, the controller can activate the heater when the measured temperature falls below the configured starting temperature and deactivate it when the stopping temperature is reached.
This automatic thermostat operation helps maintain the temperature within the desired range without requiring continuous manual intervention.
Button Functions
UP Button – Start Temperature
Press the UP button to display the configured starting temperature.
Long-press the UP button until the display begins flashing. Then press the UP or DOWN button to adjust the desired starting temperature.
DOWN Button – Stop Temperature
Press the DOWN button to display the configured stopping temperature.
Long-press the DOWN button until the display begins flashing. Then press the UP or DOWN button to adjust the desired stopping temperature.
Temperature Control
The XH-W3001 provides separate upper and lower temperature settings. This allows the user to configure the temperature at which the connected equipment starts operating and the temperature at which it stops.
This type of differential temperature control is useful for applications where maintaining a temperature range is more practical than switching the load at a single temperature value.
Display Error Indications
LLL – Sensor Fault
If the display shows LLL, the controller indicates a problem with the temperature sensor. Check the probe connection and wiring. If the sensor is damaged, it may need to be replaced.
HHH – Temperature Over Range
If the display shows HHH, the detected temperature is outside the specified measurement range of the controller. Check the temperature and sensor installation.
Output Capability
The XH-W3001 is designed with an AC output rated up to 10 A / 1500 W according to the supplied product specifications.
The connected load should remain within the controller’s specified electrical ratings. For high-power, inductive, or sensitive loads, an appropriately rated external relay or contactor may be required.
