The Maix Bit AI development board leverages the advanced K210 AI chip with a RISC-V kernel, featuring a dual-core processor with an independent Floating Point Unit (FPU). The K210 chip boasts a 64-bit CPU bit width, 8 MB on-chip SRAM, and a 400 adjustable nominal frequency. Notably, it includes a double precision FPU that supports multiplication, division, and square root operations.
Compact and powerful, the Maix Bit AI development board measures 53.3mm x 25.4mm and incorporates essential components on board. These include a 128 Mbit high-speed and large-capacity Flash, a high-speed USB to Serial port chip CH552, RGB LED, MEMS microphone, 24-pin DVP camera interface, and a 24-pin 8-bit MCU LCD interface. The board is designed with a RISC architecture, providing high performance at an affordable price, with dedicated support for AI and MicroPython.
The MaixPy firmware, based on MicroPython, simplifies the implementation of AI algorithms and conventional microcontroller operations. It ensures accessibility for a wide range of users. Importantly, the MaixPy firmware is compatible with most APIs of OpenMV. Choosing the MAIX development board offers functionality comparable to an OpenMV development board three times its price. In performance measurements, the ordinary algorithm exhibits 2-3 times the power of the original STM32H7 version, while the power of the AI algorithm surpasses that version by an impressive factor of 1000 times.
