The Soil Moisture Sensor Module comprises two integral components: the LM393 signal processing amplifier and the moisture sensor. Designed for soil moisture detection, it serves to assess the dampness in the surrounding soil, aiding in the determination of whether plants require watering. The module’s functionality allows for the adjustment of the potentiometer to set the signal threshold. When the humidity falls below the configured value, the D0 output is high, indicating a need for watering; otherwise, it outputs a low level.

This versatile module operates within a voltage range of 3.3V to 12VDC and offers both digital and analog output signals. With a compact PCB size of 3.6cm * 1.5cm, it features an anticorrosion probe, enhancing its durability for prolonged use. Additionally, the module’s analog signal output simplifies usage, requiring only the insertion of the sensor into the soil, with readings easily obtained using an Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC).
