Product Description
The Digital Display Control Module is a compact driver and testing board designed to work with the HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Sensor. Powered by an integrated STM8S103 8-bit microcontroller, it processes distance measurements and displays the results without requiring an external Arduino or additional programming.
The module supports both digital display and serial communication modes, making it useful for sensor testing, robotics debugging, distance measurement, and PC-based data logging.
Dual Output Modes
Digital Tube Display Mode
Connect an HC-SR04 sensor and provide 5V DC power through the 2.54mm socket to display the measured distance directly on the onboard 3-digit LED display in centimeters.
Serial Port Mode
The module can send distance readings through its TX and RX pins to a USB-to-TTL converter. This allows distance data to be viewed or logged on a computer.
The serial interface operates at 9600 bps with the output format:
D: XXX
where XXX represents the measured distance in centimeters.

Working Principle
The HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor measures the distance to an object and provides the corresponding signal to the control module. The onboard STM8S103 MCU processes this information and converts it into a distance value.
The measured distance can then be displayed directly on the onboard LED display or transmitted through the serial interface for viewing and data logging on a computer.

- GND → GND
Power Supply
The 2.54mm white socket is intended for 5V DC power input only. Do not apply a higher voltage, as this may damage the onboard STM8S103 microcontroller and other components.
