SKU: 5077 Categories: ,

The ADXL335 Triple-Axis Accelerometer is a high-performance breakout board designed for precision motion and tilt sensing. Developed by Analog Devices, this small, thin, and low-power module provides signal-conditioned voltage outputs for the X, Y, and Z axes. It is a versatile solution for capturing both static acceleration (gravity) for tilt applications and dynamic acceleration resulting from motion, shock, or vibration.

Precision Motion Capture

With a full-scale measurement range of ±3g, the ADXL335 excels in detecting subtle changes in orientation and movement. Unlike digital sensors that require complex I2C or SPI communication, this module provides direct analog voltage outputs. This simplicity allows for rapid integration with any microcontroller featuring an Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC), such as Arduino, ESP32, or STM32.

Customizable and Robust Design

The module is designed with flexibility in mind, allowing users to select the bandwidth using external capacitors (CX, CY, and CZ). This allows you to tailor the sensor to your specific application, whether you need a high-frequency response for vibration analysis (up to 1600 Hz) or a dampened response for stable tilt sensing. Despite its high sensitivity, the ADXL335 is incredibly rugged, capable of surviving mechanical shocks of up to 10,000g.

Key Features

  • Triple-Axis Sensing: Independent analog outputs for X, Y, and Z coordinates.

  • ±3g Measurement Range: Ideal for human-machine interfaces and tilt detection.

  • Ultra-Low Power: Consumes a mere 350 µA, perfect for battery-operated wearables.

  • Customizable Bandwidth: Selectable frequency response via external capacitors for application-specific tuning.

  • Rugged Construction: High shock survivability (up to 10,000g) for durable performance.

  • Wide Voltage Support: Operates stably between 1.8V and 3.6V DC.
