The DIY 3DOF Pick-and-Place Robot Arm Kit is an unassembled mechanical robot arm designed for Arduino-based robotics projects, smart robot cars, object-handling demonstrations, and educational applications. It includes mounting brackets, an aluminium gripper, metal servo arm plates, a bearing, and assembly hardware for building a servo-operated robotic arm.
The arm uses two servos for up-and-down and rotational axis positioning, while a third servo controls the opening and closing of the gripper. This arrangement allows the assembled arm to pick up, move, and release small objects when connected to suitable control electronics and programmed accordingly. The 3DOF designation refers to these three servo-controlled functions, including gripper operation.
The supplied U-type robot waist bracket allows the arm to be mounted on a compatible robot car chassis, desktop platform, or custom project base. Total Height of the arm in upright positon is 29cm.
The kit can be used in ESP32, Raspberry pi , Arduino UNO and MEGA2560 projects with compatible servos, suitable control wiring, and an appropriate servo power supply. Servos, the electronics, and the power supply are not included. This is the base kit only.Â
