The MG996R Digital Metal Gear Servo is the industry standard for high-torque applications. As an upgraded version of the famous MG995, this servo features a completely redesigned PCB and IC control system, offering significantly better accuracy, centering, and dead bandwidth performance.

Built for durability, the MG996R is equipped with a robust all-metal gear train. This allows it to deliver a massive stalling torque of up to 11 kgf·cm (at 6V) without stripping gears, even under heavy load. The output shaft is stable, ensuring smooth movement and resistance to external shocks.

With a standard 180-degree rotation (90° in each direction) and a universal “S” type connector, this servo is compatible with most receivers including Futaba, JR, Hitec, and GWS. It is the go-to choice for steering 1/10 scale RC buggies, controlling throttle on gas planes, or powering joints in heavy-duty bipedal robots.

Power Supply Warning: Due to its high torque, this servo can draw significant current (stall current up to 2.5A). Do not power this directly from an Arduino 5V pin. An external BEC or battery power source (5V-6V) is highly recommended to prevent controller brownouts.
