Force Sensing Resistor – Square 44mm (FSR-406 Type)

This Square Force Sensing Resistor (44mm x 44mm) is a pressure-sensitive sensor that changes its resistance based on how much force is applied to the sensing surface. When force increases, the resistance decreases. With no pressure applied, the sensor resistance is typically greater than 1MΩ.

This sensor can detect force in the range of approximately 100 grams to 10 kilograms, making it ideal for touch sensing, pressure detection and interactive control systems.

The sensor has two pins with 2.54mm (0.1″) spacing, so it can be easily used on a breadboard or PCB. The back side includes a peel-and-stick adhesive layer, allowing convenient mounting on flat surfaces.

This type of force sensor is simple to interface and is great for detecting touch, grip force or applied pressure. However, it is not meant for high-accuracy weighing applications.
