TCRT5000 Line Tracking Sensor

Presenting the TCRT 5000 Dual Channel Line Tracking Sensor Module, which utilizes the TCRT5000 IR Sensor to detect color and distance. This module is composed of an IR transmitter and an IR receiver. The IR transmitter emits a constant IR signal, which, upon reflection from an obstacle, is detected by the IR receiver.

The TCRT5000 Infrared Reflective Sensor Module is commonly employed in applications such as line-following robots and object-sorting robots. Its functionality is based on sensing whether a surface is white or black. The module has a measuring distance range from 1mm to 8mm, with a critical point set at 2.5mm.

Equipped with an onboard potentiometer, this module allows for sensitivity adjustment. The infrared diode continuously emits infrared light when the module is powered on. If the emitted infrared light is not reflected adequately or its power is insufficient, the receiver diode will be in the off state, resulting in a LOW output on the DO pin.

Note: An important update regarding pin locations has been made. The original sequence was VCC, GND, D0, A0, but the new sequence is VCC, D0, A0, GND.
