The PM2.5 GP2Y1010AU0F Dust and Smoke Sensor is a high-precision optical sensor designed to detect fine airborne particles using an infrared emitting diode (IRED) and a phototransistor arranged diagonally. It measures the intensity of reflected light from particles, enabling accurate detection of dust, smoke, pollen, and spores in the air.

This sensor is especially effective for detecting fine particles such as cigarette smoke, and it can even distinguish smoke from regular house dust based on the pulse pattern of its output voltage. With its low power consumption (Max. 20mA) and compact design, it is widely used in air purifiers, air conditioners, dust removal systems, fire alarms, and air quality monitoring equipment.
