Easily connect your 16×2 or 20×4 character LCD display to microcontrollers like Arduino or ESP32 using this I2C/IIC Serial Interface Adapter Module. Designed with the PCF8574 I2C controller chip, this compact board simplifies wiring by reducing the LCD control to just two I2C lines (SDA & SCL), perfect for saving GPIO pins.

This RoHS-compliant I2C LCD module is compatible with all standard HD44780-compatible LCDs in 4-bit mode. It supports plug-and-play operation with commonly used libraries, making integration seamless for DIY electronics, hobby projects, and embedded systems.

The default I2C address is 0x3F (adjustable via onboard solder jumpers), allowing you to connect up to 8 displays on the same I2C bus by assigning unique addresses. Adjust the screen contrast with the onboard potentiometer and control the LCD backlight via a simple jumper.
