BH1745NUC 16Bit I2C Color Sensor

The BH1745NUC is a digital color sensor IC featuring an I²C bus interface. This IC is capable of sensing Red, Green, and Blue light (RGB) and converting them into digital values. With its high sensitivity, wide dynamic range, and exceptional Ircut characteristics, the BH1745NUC is particularly well-suited for accurately capturing illuminance and color temperature in ambient light. Its applications extend to adjusting the LCD backlight of devices such as TVs, mobile phones, and tablet PCs.

This sensor can detect a broad range of light intensities, ranging from 0.1/2 to 40,000 lux. Key features include high sensitivity and a wide dynamic range (0.005 – 40,000 lux), support for low transmittance (dark) windows, compatibility with the I²C bus interface, low current consumption through the power-down function, effective rejection of 50Hz/60Hz light noise, compatibility with 1.8V logic interfaces, and a programmable interrupt function. Additionally, it offers flexibility with two selectable I²C bus slave addresses (ADDR=’L’: “0111000”, ADDR=’H’: “0111001”).
